A little bit about me…

My name is Emily Giesbrecht,

I am currently a university student studying to become an Elementary Teacher at the University of Regina. This is my second year of education, but my first year at the U of R. I was studying at Briercrest College last year. My education journey encompasses many things, including going beyond my comfort zone and trying my hand at blogging. Currently,  I am an early childhood educator, working with the ages of 18 months all the way up to 8 years old! I learn something from each the kids each time I work, the concept of life long learning really excites me!

I have dreamt about being a grade 2 teacher since I was in grade 2 myself. I remember looking up to my teacher that year and telling myself that I wanted to be just like her when I grow up! Looks like I’m on my way! I am passionate about many things, so I created this space for me to share these passions with you. My passions are quite diverse and include Jesus, puppies, baking and teaching! This space will primarily be used for me to share my professional growth and the nifty tools I learn about. I especially be sharing about the different tips and tricks I will be learning in my ECMP355 class.

I look forward to what the future brings as I pursue my dream of becoming an elementary school teacher! Stay tuned!
